Rental Rates and Application Fees
APPLICATION FEE:
There is a $100.00 application fee, payable when you apply for an apartment. This fee will be returned if you decide not to take an apartment; otherwise it will become part of your security deposit at the time you sign your membership agreement. The security deposit is one month's rent. The security deposit will be returned to you at the time you vacate your apartment (unless there is unusual damage to the apartment). If you leave Melbourne Village before your 1 year lease is up, you will forfeit your security deposit. Otherwise it will be returned to you thirty days after vacating unless we have unusual cleanup, repairs or unpaid utility bills.
ASSIGNMENT:
You will pay your final month’s rent at the time you are assigned and agree to rent a particular apartment. If, for some reason, you decide not to take possession of the apartment, your final month’s rent will be returned to you ONLY IF YOU HAVE GIVEN US 30 DAYS ADVANCED WRITTEN NOTICE prior to your scheduled move in date.
MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT:
You will sign the Membership Agreement when you move in. At that time you will pay the balance of the security deposit and your whole or pro-rated first month’s rent.
RENTAL FEES:
1-bedroom $450.00 per month
2-bedroom starts at $675.00 per month
Deluxe 2-bedroom $1150.00 per month
Your rent will start on the day you have agreed to take possession of your apartment or on the day you actually move in, whichever comes first.
Example: to rent a 1-bedroom apartment your initial cost will be:
- $100.00 due with application (this will apply towards your security deposit if you move in).
- Final month’s rent ($450 for 1-bedroom) due when you sign to take a specific apartment.
- Whole month’s rent ($450 for 1-bedroom) due when you take possession on the first of the month. If you move in after the first, the rent will be pro-rated.
- Balance of security deposit ($350 for 1-bedroom) due when you sign the membership agreement.
